‘Thrilling upset’ Shin Yubin faces world No. 1 in ‘Come Out! Sun Yingxia’

South Korean women’s table tennis ace Shin Yoo-bin has advanced to the round of 16 at the World Championships with a dramatic upset. Shin defeated Jiannan Yuan 4-3 in the third round of the women’s singles at the World Table Tennis Championships in Durban, South Africa메이저놀이터.

The Chinese-French player is a battle-tested veteran. Facing an opponent 19 years her junior, Xin Yubin was down 2-6 in the final game before pulling off a thrilling comeback.

Before the women’s singles, Shin teamed up with Lim Jong-hoon in the mixed doubles event. The medal favorites were up against the world No. 2 pair of Hina Hayata and Tomokazu Harimoto in a battle of pride, but fell short.

With the mixed doubles disappointment behind her, Shin Yubin showed her heart by reaching the round of 16 in the women’s singles. Her opponent in the quarterfinals will be World No. 1 Sun Yingxia. On the evening of the 25th, Yubin Shin will attempt to pull off a ‘miracle at the table’ against Sun Yingxia.
