Lee got his first takedown with just over two minutes left in the first round. He got back to his feet without too much damage, but continued to struggle with Klimako’s ground game.
In the second round, Lee took a cautious approach, wary of his opponent’s takedowns. Klimako continued to look for takedown opportunities while extending his kicks. There wasn’t much action compared to the first round.
Feeling that he had taken the first round, Klimako was passive in the second. Lee took advantage of the gap and landed the final punch of the round. However, it wasn’t enough to definitively win the round.
In the third round, Lee aggressively looked to strike but couldn’t break through Klimako’s defense. Klimako pushed Lee up against the cage wall and forced the fight into a clinch.
Lee was unable to land any effective strikes and continued to struggle. Instead, he allowed another takedown with just over a minute left in the round. He made a final offensive push before the round ended, but was unable to land a solid shot.
