President Yoon Seok-yeol, who has a retired guide dog for the blind named Sarom, appeared on SBS’s “TV Animal Farm” today with Mrs. Kim Gun-hee.

President Yoon introduced himself as “Yoon Seok-yeol, father of ‘Sarom,’ ‘Marie,’ and ‘Sunny,'” and revealed how he came to adopt ‘Sarom,’ saying, “When I was a candidate, I visited a guide dog school in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, and when I went to the presidential palace with a yard, I said that I wanted to raise a retired guide dog.”

“There are many dogs that serve special purposes,” he said, “and since they have served the country and society, I think it’s right that the country and society should pay for some of their medical treatment.”
