Former UFC champ Holloway “I’m a water fist? This time I will definitely KO”

‘Former UFC featherweight champion’ Max Holloway (31, USA) vowed to KO ’12 consecutive victories’ Arnold Allen (29, UK).

UFC featherweight ranking No. 2 Holloway will face No. 4 Allen in the main event of ‘UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Allen’ held at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, USA on the 16th (hereinafter Korean time).

Holloway was furious. Some fans accused Holloway of being a water fist. He exclaimed, “I see a lot of people talking about ‘water fist’ Holloway온라인바카라,” and “I have to finish somehow this time.”

Holloway holds the record for most wins by knockout (TKO) in UFC featherweight history with eight wins. But he’s not the type to knock out opponents in one hit. He is more of a volume puncher who accumulates multiple rounds of punches to get a referee stop (TKO). Some anti-fans ridiculed him as a ‘water fist’.

So he has to be KO this time. He can’t even serve. Holloway said, “If I submit Alan, the nickname ‘Water Fist’ will stick to me.”

“’I’m still here!’ is the motto of this match. “I could borrow the words of boxer Roy Jones Jr.” “’Looks like you guys forgot me!’. Let’s see what happens. I’ve been through this before, and I enjoy it.”

Holloway gave 445 effective hits to Calvin Cater (35, USA), who faced after two consecutive losses to Alexander Volkanovski (35, Australia) in 2021, giving him a brutal defeat. “I am the best boxer in the UFC,” Holloway said after dodging Kater’s punches with a no-look, who claimed he was the better boxer.

Holloway’s plan is to provide martial arts lessons to rookies who are coming up in this match as well.

Holloway and Alan safely passed the weigh-in on the 15th and were ready for the confrontation. Both fighters came off the scale at 146 pounds (66.2 kg), a full featherweight general boundaries limit.

Holloway’s opponent, Allen, is on a 12-fight winning streak (10 UFC wins) based on solid boxing and wrestling skills. Now, as the final gateway to the title fight, he must overcome former champion Holloway.

“Everybody knows about Holloway’s work,” Allen said. “He’s one of the greatest featherweight fighters of all time and he’s definitely going to be in the Hall of Fame, so I’m pretty sure I have nothing more to prove if I beat him.”

The UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Allen main card will be broadcast live on TVING and tvN SPORTS from 9:30 am on the 16th.
