Atlanta signs catcher Dano to 1-for-1 contract extension

The Atlanta Braves have signed catcher Travis d’Arnaud, 34, to a contract extension.

Atlanta announced the news of the contract extension through its official channels on Monday (July 19).

The team also revealed the terms of the deal. Dano will earn a base salary of $8 million ($10.28 million) for the 2024 season, with a team option for the 2025 season at the same price. There is no buyout.

Dano previously signed a two-year, $16 million deal with Atlanta through the 2022 season, with a team option for the 2024 season. The extension effectively guarantees the team option.

Dano is a veteran of 11 seasons and 749 games in the Major Leagues. He began his career with the New York Mets in 2013 and spent time with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2019 and the Tampa Bay Rays before joining Atlanta in 2020.메이저놀이터

Since joining the Braves in 2020, he has been a late bloomer. He was named a Silver Slugger in 2020, helped the team win a championship in 2021, and was named an All-Star in 2022.

This season, he is battling Sean Murphy for the starting job and has only appeared in 38 games, but he has produced well at the plate, batting .265 with a .338 on-base percentage, .478 slugging percentage, eight home runs and 23 RBIs.
